• 1900-06-04 Federal census for Nelson, Tioga, PA district 0147, dwelling 10, the Stages: Bert(42), Helen(34), Tessie(11), Nellie(as Nettie, 9), Fred(5). Also in the house, servant Charles Hobson(34).
• 1910-05-10 Federal census for district 0152, Lawrence, Tioga Co., PA, the Stages: Albert J(52), Helen A(44), Tessie V(21), Nellie A(19), Fred D(15), Mary E(9). Also living in the home, Helen's brother Charles A Wood(54).
• 1923-08-08 Married George Caspar Ruppel.
• 1930-04-14 Federal census for 24 Glasser Street, district 0103, Rochester, Monroe Co., NY has the Ruppels: George C(48), Nellie A(39), George(5) and Beatrice(1).
• 1940-04-02 Federal census for 131 Colvin Street, Rochester, Monroe Co., NY lists the Ruppels: George C(58), Nellie A(49), George C Jr(15, not really a Jr) and Beatrice H(11).
• 1947-05-27 George Caspar Ruppel passes.
• 1950-04-03 Federal census 52 Cedar Street, Rocheater, Monroe Co., NY. the Ruppels: Nellie A(59), Beatrice H(21).
• My grandmother lived with us (162 Shadmore Drive, Rochester, NY) until my brothers became mobile. She taught me to read and the basics of math when I was ~3 years old. For those who know me, yeah, I become THAT kid thanks to my grandmother. I have this vivid memory of asking if she could stay and they could go. <smile>
