• 1910-05-10 Federal census for district 0152, Lawrence, Tioga Co., PA, the Stages: Albert J(52), Helen A(44), Tessie V(21), Nellie A(19), Fred D(15), Mary E(9). Also living in the home, Helen's brother Charles A Wood(54).
• 1917-12-22 Marries Raymond Phineas Burr in Tioga Co., PA.
• 1920-02-20 Federal census for Lindley, Steuben Co., NY lists Raymond(25) and Mary E(19) at dwelling 245. Raymond is farmind rented property. Interestingly, at dwelling 242 is Nelson C Terwilleger(28), who will be Mary's 2nd husband.
• 1925-06-01 NY census for Lindley, Steuben Co. lists the Burr family: Raymond P(31), Mary S(24) and Barbara E(1). Next family listed: Terwilliger. Nelson C(33) still lives at home.
• 1930-04-14 Federal census for Lindley, Steuben Co., NY has the Burr family on Church Creek Road: Raymond P(35), Mary E(29) and Barbara E(6). Nelson C Terwilliger(38) still lives right next door.
• 1934-03-08 Per the Wellsboro(PA) Gazette, attends Valentine's Day party at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Charles VanZile, along with her parents. She's listed as Mrs. Mary Burr, which per naming conventions of the time would indicate that Mr. Burr is no longer in the picture.
• 1940 Where is Mary living? 1940 census has Nelson C still living in his parents house with his mother even though he and Mary have been married for 6 years. This is the census that asks "Where did you live in 1935?" His answer was that he lived in the same house. Barbara is living with her dad and his new wife.
