  • 1889-09-01 letter from Mate Wood to her mom, Mary E Wood, says "I got a letter from Lissa the other day and she said she had a letter from Mich saying Uncle John was dead  He was burried the 11th of last month  He leaves a wife and three small children" In 1889, Alice is 5, Jennett is 11, Jennie is 15 . That doesn't sound like the "three small children" that Mate references.
