Louie THETGE
We first meet Louie THETGE in her letter to Helen on March 2, 1887. In our 2021 site setup, we are processing the letters chronologically and we've learned a bit more. Louie and Loutie are twin girls. In the 1880 Schuyler County census they are 11 years old and their birth names are Lura and Lucy, respectively. Lura shares a first name with her mother thus the need for a nickname.
